Omg my eyeliner! CG perfect point plus BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH?

Well, i went to the store. And i get cover girl's perfect point plus eyeliner, I was happy with it! Intill i found out o it sharpens itself if you turn the knobby thingy. And i turned it 2 times. . . . . nothing happens, I turned it upside down and turn it 2 times. i said " maybe i have to turn it a lot of times!", So i turned it like 20 times nothing happens. Then i got mad and i chucked it across the room and still a point never came up. Um........... i need advice what to do because i just got it like 5 days ago and it broke. =-((((((((((((((((
