1989 240: The dreaded heater fan replacement!?

Hi -- I have the fan motor, a Bentley book and the instructions from IPD that came with the motor. Does anyone have any tales of woe about this job; something that would not be covered in the Bentley book that took you all day to figure out? Help me learn from your mistakes ;-) Thanks.
