HOW DiD EDGAR ALLAN POE USE HiS WORK TO EXPRESS HiS EMOTiONS?

Edgar Allan Poe usually mirrored his life in his short stories. For example, he had a dysfunctional relationship with his stepfather and he used all of that angst to write The Tell Tale Heart (in which a guy, kills the "old man" who had done him no harm, but it was the eye...), he also used his personal tragedy, the loss of his wife Virginia, to write Annabel Lee, where he pretty much narrates their love story (how his family was against the marriage cuz they were cousins and cuz Virginia was thirteen at the time, etc) , The Raven is also based on a guy who has lost his wife; The Cask Of amontillado was inspired by a story he read in the newspaper, etc, so he pretty much takes his surropundings his environment and writes about that; what he sees, what he feels. Hes one of my favorite authors.
