How many molecules of CO2 are produced when 2.5g of zinc react with an excess of hydrochloric acid?

This is Stoichiometry and I just don't understand this problem. The only thing I get about Stoichiometry is that you have to convert to moles first. My knowledge and understanding stops there. If you can answer this question that would be great!
